I am Barry Hines, an agricultural law and estate planning attorney with more than 40 years of experience. My practice is focused on serving the legal needs of farmers, farm owners and farm families in the Springfield area and throughout downstate Illinois.

I began my career in 1972 with the law firm of Barber & Barber. In 2008, I established my own practice, a move that allowed me to provide my clients with more direct attention and personal service. I work closely with my clients to gain an understanding of their legal needs, business goals, families and overall plans for the future. With more than four decades of experience serving area farmers, I understand the nuances of the law and how they apply to agricultural life.
